  • Condition: One of the earliest Stanley/Bailey planes I've found for sale for parts or repair or restoration. Missing lever cap, lever cap mounting screw, one washer from frog mounting bolt. Handle is badly cracked, wooden knob has some small cracks at the base. Cutter is the later V logo than the L Bailey patent chip breaker.

    Description

    Interesting find of one of the earlier Stanley/Bailey hand planes I have found on the West Coast. No #2 smooth bottom with an Interesting mix of parts. The Depth adjuster has two Bailey patents Aug 31, 1853 & Aug 6th, 1867. Early patented lateral adjustment lever. A V-logo steel and an L Bailey's patent (Dec 24th, 1867) chip breaker. Do see all photos for close ups of these earlier pieces. It is Missing lever cap, lever cap mounting screw, one washer from frog mounting bolt. Handle is badly cracked, wooden knob has some small cracks at the base. Neat project for parts or restoration.
